...Hybrid forms, what we will call rather crassly fact/fiction.

I'm not very good at sewing, but there are a few slightly complicated projects I'd like to try. One is a motorcycle jacket made out of something besides leather. I saw a lovely back velvet one when I was in college, and a very cute, somewhat deconstructed pink Polar-Tec one when I was in Chicago. (You have to say, that's the opposite of your usual.)
One problem: I could never find a pattern. It's not such an unusual garment, is it? But I never ran across one even after asking at several fabrics stores. Jacket patterns, yes, and they could be turned out in leather if you liked, but no real, loads o' zippers motorcycle jackets.
Until now! I found one at a place called Livingsoft Northwest. Take a look at this!



Now all I need to figure out is how to use their patterns. From what I gathered, they're used through a computer program.
